Bonjour February!
The longest month on earth has come to an end. We endured the Christmas gifts we had to wear so we felt less guilty, we've taken ourselves out of elasticated waistbands now that we are no longer eating quality streets for breakfast, and all those new year new me routines are now rituals we have adopted as part of our every day.
All hail February, which I am choosing to be the launch month of my year. Wardrobe has been gutted, new clothes purchased and the capsule wardobe is being manifested into life as we speak people.
This weekend i treated myself to a little nose around the shops, perusing what was on offer, and the high-street is on the turn.
H&M are full flow in to tailoring and pleather, two of my favourite trends and I treated myself to a little pencil skirt with lace trim, very 90's, a very French inspired striped bodysuit and what can only be described as a pewter fisherman's net of a jumper because I felt very David Rose that day.
You see, i am a natural shopper, I get inspired by everything and I have an outfit for everything. It is both a blessing and a curse (mostly as i don't have unlimited funds to support this) so imagine my excitement when my sister turned me onto to this little App called Vinted, I have to say though, I have enjoyed nothing more lately than a cup of tea in bed, flicking through Vinted, adding hearts on things and building my imaginary fashion wardrobe.
January has seen the resurrection of the blazer for me at work. Oversized, tartan, monochrome and anything else you can think of, I have enjoyed this power dressing vibe, In fact, my whole work wardrobe has been a bit of a beauty lately, I've also been enjoying the skirt vibes lately, and I'm starting to get into my groove with dressing for work now.
